Next week is Read Across America. I bet you didn't know I love to read. It wasn't always so but I love adventure, mystery, picture books (children's books) and plain old silly/funny books. I posted a flipgrid for this week. Check out my book recommendations in the video below!

Final 7th Grade Animal PotteryThese amazing 7th Grade artists created one of a kind animal cylinder projects. Each student was tasked with developing a design based on an animal. Student had to create the cylinder using the slab technique and then problem solved to design their lid and details to communicate their idea. Great job students!
Animal pottery is really coming along nicely. Students in seventh grade are problem solving to create and communicate the animal of their choice. Their objective is it to create a cylinder and lid based on an animal idea. Students must decide which technique to use (pinch, slab, or coil) to form their idea. Each student is in a different stage and has their own set of problems to solve. I love them all!Final 6th Grade PotteryStudents in sixth grade have been working on combining pinch and coil techniques to create functional pottery pieces. I think they did a great job on attaching and developing useable art!
Final 8th Grade Pottery Final pottery in the 8th grade classes are truly amazing this art teacher! Each student was asked to create a themed clay mug with three attachments, correct construction, attaching, and texture. Problem solving and critical thinking were key components to success. I am so proud of you all!
Students: 1. What was your favorite part about this project? 2. What was the most difficult part? 3. What would you do differently? 4. Which project is your favorite and why? |
