Students in sixth grade are working on their Zentangle Animals. They are learning about variety, neatness, space, shape, line quality, contrast, and balance.
Which animal is your favorite? What patterns do you like? Quarter 3 PotteryStudents hard at work on pottery this quarter. Enjoy their fantastic creations! 7th Grade have started creating their cylinders and attaching the body and head of their animal.
Art Show ResultsThe art show results are in! Students in 2nd quarter learned of the Choice Award Winners. We did have a shortened day due to weather and one class still needs to get certificates and their photo taken. Here are the winners of the Student Choice Awards and Teacher selections. Final Week of Quarter 2!It's the final week of quarter 2 and we have the art show, critique, voting, cleaning, and projects to finish up! I'm not sure how we fit so many things into the last week but it always get done. Maybe it's the fantastic art students! The students and I would love for everyone to vote on their favorite 6th, 7th, and 8th grade project. Please visit the art show page to vote! End of Quarter 2Wow! We are one week until the end of quarter 2! How did the time fly by so quickly? All art show projects are posted on the online art show page. Students are busy finishing and starting projects. We never stop in this room. I always have another skill or project to teach. From the look of the pictures, students are excited to work on each project I throw at them. Eighth grade students are finishing their Hidden Color Wheels and beginning a symbolism project.
