1st Quarter ProgressFor the last week, sixth graders have been working on coil pots. Students have improved on forming and attaching coils, balancing the profile, and daily habits. Great job students! Seventh grade students are continuing to make progress on their clay animals. Motivation is guiding them here at the end of the project. Each student is truly seeing their vision come to life through persistence and hard work. Can you now visualize their animals?
7th Grade: Animal Pottery ProgressSeventh grade students are working so hard to get their clay projects done before the clay hardens. Can you guess which animals students are creating?
Welcome Back to a New Year!Hello all! Students are back in the classrooms and the art room is as busy as ever. They are working furiously to problem solve, work through time management, and become independent learners in the art room! 8th Grade Project Overview: The objective is to create a themed clay mug with at least three attachments. Students must contemplate and determine the correct technique for their chosen attachments. If an issue arises (which they do), each student must problem solve and change the design. One of the biggest challenges is to develop a themed plan from scratch. Finally, students will reflect, self-evaluate, and take pictures of their work. Great job students!
