Objectives:
- Visual Art: The students will create a series of gesture drawings using proportion, shape, and movement.
- Literacy: The students will write a goal and then reflect and evaluate each drawing there after to show growth of skills.

Part B: Shading & Clothing
Gesture Drawing is the art of giving the human figure movement and emotion.
~This time draw the clothes but keep the size, shape, and placement of the body in mind.
Step 1: Create first drawing.
Step 2: Reflect on your drawing.
Step 3: Write a goal.
Step 4: Draw again and reflect.
Step 5: Continue to draw and reflect.

Step 1: Create first drawing.
- Select a pose from the links: 3rd period or 4th period
- Draw the parts of the body in very lightly.
- Begin to draw the clothes over and around the body depending on how tight the clothes are and how they hang.
- Add in darker lines to accentuate the shape of the clothes.
Step 2: Reflect on your drawing.
- What are your strengths?
- What do you need to improve on?
Step 3: Write a goal.
Step 4: Draw again and reflect.
Step 5: Continue to draw and reflect.
Part C: Creating a Final Figure Drawing
Objective: The student will be able to create a well proportioned figure and develop the shading so the figure has a 3-d form.
