The Challenge: What is it?
Directions:
- Each week I will be challenging you to recreate one work from a time period.
- Watch the history video so you know more about the period.
- Find a work from the specific time period. Save it so you can post it with your recreation.
- Gather items and pose (objects, pets, people) - This link has good tips: https://blogs.getty.edu/iris/getty-artworks-recreated-with-household-items-by-creative-geniuses-the-world-over/
- Take a picture of what you created and share it with the original work.
- I have extension ideas below. So, be sure to read and have fun!
Below: You will find three parts to this blog:
- A. Learn About: History video on the time period.
- B. My Example(s): Directions, pictures, and extension ideas.
- C. Contemporary Art Connection: Work(s) of today that connect to history.
Examples you could recreate or find your own! | So, I hope you will join this challenge! The first 'Art History Challenge' is to recreate a Stone Age work. I think this is going to be really fun and informative. Directions:
