Animal Pottery is in full swing. Although I only have drawings of student ideas, the clay bodies are done and the heads of the animals will be finished shortly. Students are working a drawing as well called the cross-hatch tree. Students build on their knowledge of value from last year and learn about color washing and drawing trees.
Pendants were the focus last week as an exploration to student mastery skills. A twist on the color wheel is being painted this week. The following week students brainstorm and develop their final clay project to show their best work.
