Drawing & Color Theory in the Art Room
| 8th Grade: Students in eighth grade learned about radial rotational symmetry through our Hidden Color Wheel project. We related it to Middle East tiles and repetitive artwork. After drawing their designs, students began painting. Eighth graders are expected to critically think about the colors given (some not usable due to their hue) in relation to the hues on the color wheel. Students quickly learn to mix, test, and remix until they have the hue of their liking. Painting the whole design is the next step of the project. Great job students! |
